Custom Order Terms
Custom Order Terms
Custom work is a collaborative process, and each Real Fine Studio custom piece is created, sourced, resized, engraved, or prepared specifically for the client. By placing a custom order, approving a design, paying a deposit, or authorizing work to begin, you agree to the terms below.
Custom Orders Are Final Sale
All custom, personalized, sourced, resized, engraved, and made-to-order pieces are final sale. Custom orders are not eligible for return, exchange, or cancellation once work has begun, materials have been sourced, or a deposit has been paid.
Deposits and Payments
A deposit may be required before design work, sourcing, production, stone selection, resizing, engraving, or other custom work begins. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, deposits are non-refundable once work has begun or materials have been sourced.
Final payment is due before a completed piece is released, shipped, or delivered.
Design Approval
Clients are responsible for carefully reviewing all design details, materials, stone selections, sizing, engraving, spelling, dates, renderings, sketches, descriptions, pricing, and timelines before approval.
Once a design, material, stone, size, engraving, or other detail has been approved, changes may not be possible or may require additional fees and extended timelines.
Timeline Estimates
Custom order timelines are estimates and may vary depending on design complexity, material availability, sourcing timelines, stone availability, production schedules, shipping, customs, holidays, or circumstances outside of our control.
We will communicate material timeline changes when possible, but estimated timelines are not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing.
Natural Materials and Handmade Variation
Natural stones, antique stones, vintage components, metals, and handmade details may vary in color, texture, scale, inclusions, finish, and appearance. These variations are part of the character of custom and fine jewelry and are not considered defects.
Images, sketches, renderings, and samples are provided as references only and may not reflect exact final color, scale, or appearance.
Sizing
Clients are responsible for providing accurate sizing information before production begins. When ring resizing is possible, Real Fine Studio offers one complimentary ring resize. The client is responsible for shipping costs to and from our studio.
Some ring designs, stones, settings, engravings, vintage components, or materials may limit whether resizing or adjustment is possible.
Sourced Pieces and Stones
For sourced jewelry, stones, watches, or components, details are provided in good faith based on available information from suppliers, vendors, certificates, appraisals, or other sources.
Unless expressly stated in writing, descriptions of provenance, age, origin, condition, grading, value, or investment potential are not guarantees or appraisals.
Client-Supplied Materials
If a client provides stones, jewelry, watches, heirlooms, or other materials for use in a custom project, the client represents that they own or have the right to use those materials.
Real Fine Studio will take reasonable care with client-supplied materials, but older, antique, previously worn, fragile, or previously repaired materials may carry risk during resetting, repair, cleaning, resizing, or production. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden conditions, or inherent weaknesses in client-supplied materials.
Repairs, Adjustments, and Warranty
We offer a six-month warranty from the date your order is first delivered, covering manufacturing faults only. The warranty does not restart or extend following repairs, resizing, or other services. It does not cover normal wear and tear, broken chains, chipped or cracked stones, accidental damage, or damage caused by improper care.
Our jewelers are happy to repair pieces outside of the warranty for a fee. Please email hello@realfinepeople.studio with clear photos.
Please note that any work performed on our pieces by another jeweler will void your warranty.
Communication
Custom order decisions, approvals, change requests, and timeline updates may be communicated by email, text, direct message, invoice, or other written communication. Written approval in any of these channels may be treated as approval to proceed.
